12 April 2008

The final results are in and...

RESULTS:
  • It is April 12 and there is fresh snow on the ground.
  • I had a lung x-ray yesterday and have a 'slight' touch of pneumonia.
  • I may also have whooping cough - those results won't come back until next week.
  • The trust issues I spoke of a while back are on the right track.
  • DD's grades are out - she made the B honor roll by the skin of her teeth.
  • DS's room is still not put back together!
  • Mocha the puppy loves me, the rest of the family, well????
  • I am still employed.
  • Knitting is my stress relief.
Today I would like to rest, work with DS on his room, read and knit. Because I am a wife, mom and homeowner I will be doing laundry, house cleaning, trying to get my garage opener to work, running children places and hosting a sleepover.

MOTIVATION: I am registered for the Sally Melville workshop tomorrow!

Sunday - last day?

So, I have been sick for at least a week. I really and truly need to go to work tomorrow. My meds are done but I am still coughing after very little movement. Plan: go to work tomorrow and see doctor again on Tuesday to see what they hear. I HATE BEING SICK!

Sick & Tired...

I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was diagnosed with Bronchitis on Monday. I know it has been coming, but why so long and now after 3 days of meds and bed, I don't really feel much better! Add to this my son is now on meds for the same + strep throat, my daughter is dramatizing about school and my hubby is struggling with his own health issues.

I just need to get better - is it possible to kick them all out for just 24 hours so I can recover? I am sure it is not 'good mother' behavior but I am tempted.

Good night.

Sick Day (or just frozen?)

Well, today I am at home with dd who is running a fever and has a very sore throat. Dr. says it is not strep according to quick test, tomorrow we will determine if 24 hour test agrees. In the mean time, I am missing work, she is missing a 'HUGE' social studies final and my dh is due home from NY this afternoon. I guess if you have to stay home, a day where the temperature was -13 degrees (f) is a good choice.

I am going to be knitting today and checking in at work as I feel up to it.

Prayer Reqest:
* My dd is supposed to go on a church retreat tomorrow evening. Please let her fever subside today and her health restored!

* Safe travel for dh.
